Using circus techniques and the methodology of autofiction, Amer Kabbani explores the contradictions of the European state of prosperity. As a racialized European, he is part of this world, but as a Syrian, he also belongs to the other part of the world that is constantly faced with war, even when it is most often imposed and triggered from the outside. Runa enables us to examine ourselves as human beings and drives us to launch the process of personal and collective reconstruction, one absolutely essential for living in a world less cruel and unjust for all.
